Welcome Back!

I'm hoping you guys had a great first week of school!  I have been spending my days creating lesson plans and figuring out how to learn virtually for my kiddo.

I'm afraid that my time will be taken up completely and just like last year, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I think I now have virtual school figured out, which is great for my kid. I don't know what I'm doing at this point as far as work goes.

Maybe I continue on with this blog and youtube but I can only juggle so much.  I don't know how much I may have mentioned, I used to homeschool my kiddo. Once he was in public I didn't think I would be homeschooling again.  This time is kind of historic and we should write about it.

Why should we write about it? I have had a few historic events that have happened in my life before my children were born. Those events are now a part of the history classes that you guys are taking.

Tomorrow, my kid is learning about 9/11. He was not born yet but I wrote about it and he can now read my thoughts about it from a first-hand source.  There will be a time when things get back to normal.  We tend to forget who we were at that time.

When 9/11 happened, there were events that pushed this feeling of patriotism on one hand. On another hand were views of people who were of a particular race or religion which were quite toxic and that did not go away.

Create goals and a routine. Things we are doing, in my house, is something like this:

5:00 AM wake get dressed for the day

5:30 AM make breakfast (we eat vegan or vegetarian in my house)

6:00 AM wake the kiddo

7:00 AM meditate this prepares me and my kiddo for the day

7:40 AM kiddo logs on to school and goes until 2:44 PM During that time I'm working as much as I can.

4:00 PM I have to work on making dinner. Today is loaded fries. I get to slice potatoes, put it in an air fryer, cover it with chili, vegan cheese, and sour cream. I grow chives in my yard so that becomes a garnish. YUM!

5:00 PM dinner

6:00 PM if I haven't finished my work, I'm working at this time.

7:00 PM If I am fortunate enough, this is family time some days, I do have to work.

9:00 PM my whole house goes to bed. Sleep is important for your brain cells.

If you can, read every day. Reading expands your knowledge base. Read everything self-help, biography, fantasy fiction... You will find, through reading, walking in someone's shoes is easier.  From this point on, I'm working on building resources to watch and read.
